Cloudy Fish Tank
If your fish tank has gone cloudy, don't despair, it's quite common and is unlikely to be anything that is harming the fish. Fish don't seem to mind; in fact it's the tank owner who gets more upset simply because all their efforts are disappearing into a white fog.
I'm going to assume that your tank has been set up for a while and rule out the cloudy fish tank water that can happen if you don't rinse the substrate thoroughly before setting up. That really leaves a couple of options depending on the color of your cloud. If it's white it is most likely caused by a bacterial bloom.
This is a sudden increase in bacteria suspended in the water which can give the cloudy fish tank effect. This often happens days, weeks or even months after the tank is first set up. When the nitrogen cycle kicks in you start to form two types of bacteria that deal with the waste from the fish. Depending on their numbers they can cause a cloudy fish tank. As the bacteria run out of food their numbers will decrease and the cloudiness will go but this may take several weeks.
You can short cut the process by cleaning up the tank, removing all decaying plant matter and vacuuming the gravel to remove uneaten food. Cut down on the feeding to perhaps every other day for a while. Do a head count and make sure that your tank isn't over stocked. Remember fish grow and you won't be the first aquarist to get caught out like this. Bacteria grow on decaying plants, left over food and fish waste. Reduce these and you will reduce the bacteria.
If the cloud is green, congratulations you have green water - caused by an algae bloom.
The causes are similar to what causes a bacterial bloom. If there is too much waste in the tank, your bacteria will convert it into nitrates. If you let the nitrates build up you can end up with an algae bloom. Same rules apply, clean the tank, do a series of partial water changes to reduce nitrate levels and you could also consider planting some fast growing plants to compete for the nitrates.
It is also worth checking phosphate levels. If they are too high this will favour algae and encourage them. So will too much light. It is often tempting to leave the lights on longer so that you can benefit from your fish. Twelve hours is the recommended time and if you exceed this you will be encouraging algae and end up with a cloudy fish tank.
Most of this comes down to tank maintenance. If you have regular tank cleaning routine then most of the time your tank will be fine. Occasionally nature has a way of showing us who is really in control.

For those poor Drivers that didn't get their rigs sealed up - or worse yet - that get dirt in their motors.. May suffer the consequence of a DNF "Did Not Finish". A DNF is scored against a Driver while competing. Im not too sure of how many points - but it cant be good. SO - The drivers were put to the test.. I was focused on filming the rigs getting though these Sloppy Pits of Despair - and WOW, what a messy Job. Congrats the the drivers.. and even more so to the Hosts of this Competition. SO SUPER COOL! He is signaling to you and to any females that happen to notice, that he is ready to make babies. All you have to do, if you haven't already is put a female in the tank with him. Well, there's more to it than just that, but you get the gist of it.
Yes, I know, you may not be ready to have that happen, but your little betta is.
No need to be afraid of the bubbles. It does not mean that the water is dirty and needs to be replaced, nor does it mean that your betta has a flatus problem. Like with other fish, the male in charge of caring for the nest while the fry (baby bettas) are hatching.
All the bubbles mean, is that your betta is showing off his ability to build a bubble nest and take care of the younglings.
I feel like I should mention, that if you do plan to introduce a new female to the bowl, make sure that you do so gradually, and that you provide her with a place to hide out. Sometimes, the male can feel a little threatened by the new female so he may attack her. Giving her a place to run and hide is generally a good idea.

Before we get into the different combination of souls, you should have a basic understanding of what each Mage soul is capable of. Below is a break down of all Mage souls:

Dominator Soul - This soul is most commonly used as an off-soul. The Dominator has the ability to use powers called Transmogrify and Neural Prod.
Elementalist Soul - The Elementalist is a very powerful soul that allows you to summon pets to aid in your battles. You have 3 options of pets to choose from and can even CC enemies when you are PVPing.
Archon Soul - This soul is considered as a support because it has the abilities to buff friendlies and debuff enemies. The Archon soul is not recommended to be used as the main soul.
Pyromancer Soul - The Pyromancer soul has the ability to control fire. This soul can either deal lots of DPS to a single target or AOE damage.
Stormcaller Soul - This soul uses spells to deal damage to its enemies with air and water attacks.
Necromancer Soul- This soul is similar to the Elementalist soul as you can also summon a pet to help you tank and fight off enemies. The Necromancer soul also allows you to heal and has a buff to increase damage temporarily.
Chloromancer Soul - The Chloromancer soul has the ability to heal party members and can also inflict damage on enemy targets. This soul is a very good support soul as you can constantly heal yourself during battles.
Now that you have the basic understanding of what each soul is capable of, we can get into the best combinations for solo or group play.
If you want to build a soloing Mage, it is recommended to use the Necromancer as your main soul and choose the Chloromancer and the Dominator as your off-souls. The Necromancer allows you to summon Skeletal Horror, which is a pet that is very ideal for tanking, while the Choloromancer and the Dominator allow you to heal and CC targets when needed respectively.
Now, if you are in a group, you will probably want to go for the DPS build. If you want to play the DPS role, select the Pyromancer has your main soul with the Warlock and Necromancers as your off souls. This combination allows you to use the Necromancer's Sketetal Horror to tank enemies while you inflict maximum DPS with your Pyromancer abilities.

That gave me a brainstorm. I went down to the grocer's and begged an orange crate from him. Don't laugh... oranges came in wooden crates in the mid 1950's. The slats failed to cover the entire box bottom, but it allowed air flow. I covered the box with window screen wire on the bottom and sides in order to keep the crickets from escaping. Then I made a tight-fitting frame covered with the same screen wire for a lid and hinged it to the box.
The box was half-filed with torn up lettuce leaves from the grocer and placed outside against the wall of the garage with the lid propped open. This was the trap.
The lure was a simple invention... an extension cord with a garage trouble light plugged in. The key was the red lightbulb. The red light was positioned so that the light fell on the lettuce bed in the box.
The crickets swarmed the red light at night, falling into the lettuce where they remained chomping merrily away all night. All I had to do was quietly remove the light and close the box lid at daybreak and I had thousands of crickets free of charge.
My live tank at the pond was filled on schedule and many church fish fries were supplied with fine catfish from that Lake Texoma trotline.

Dominator Soul - This soul is most commonly used as an off-soul. The Dominator has the ability to use powers called Transmogrify and Neural Prod.
Elementalist Soul - The Elementalist is a very powerful soul that allows you to summon pets to aid in your battles. You have 3 options of pets to choose from and can even CC enemies when you are PVPing.
Archon Soul - This soul is considered as a support because it has the abilities to buff friendlies and debuff enemies. The Archon soul is not recommended to be used as the main soul.
Pyromancer Soul - The Pyromancer soul has the ability to control fire. This soul can either deal lots of DPS to a single target or AOE damage.
Stormcaller Soul - This soul uses spells to deal damage to its enemies with air and water attacks.
Necromancer Soul- This soul is similar to the Elementalist soul as you can also summon a pet to help you tank and fight off enemies. The Necromancer soul also allows you to heal and has a buff to increase damage temporarily.
Chloromancer Soul - The Chloromancer soul has the ability to heal party members and can also inflict damage on enemy targets. This soul is a very good support soul as you can constantly heal yourself during battles.
Now that you have the basic understanding of what each soul is capable of, we can get into the best combinations for solo or group play.
If you want to build a soloing Mage, it is recommended to use the Necromancer as your main soul and choose the Chloromancer and the Dominator as your off-souls. The Necromancer allows you to summon Skeletal Horror, which is a pet that is very ideal for tanking, while the Choloromancer and the Dominator allow you to heal and CC targets when needed respectively.
Now, if you are in a group, you will probably want to go for the DPS build. If you want to play the DPS role, select the Pyromancer has your main soul with the Warlock and Necromancers as your off souls. This combination allows you to use the Necromancer's Sketetal Horror to tank enemies while you inflict maximum DPS with your Pyromancer abilities.

Nowadays, you have a cheap and easier way to build the bike from the ground up. When you take the cost of buying a new bike and the expense of chopping it, it works out much cheaper to start from step one, and your chopper kit. Instead of tossing away the parts that you'll never use again, you can start building your own bike with the parts that you really need. All the parts are included in the motorcycle chopper kit, along with comprehensive instructions.
One of the first questions that people ask when considering buying a kit is how will my bike stand outs from all the other chopper kits? Well think of it this way, you are going to buy a chopper kit. A pile of unassembled raw metal. No paint, no real finish, just a blank canvas. Is your taste in paint jobs likely to be the same as the next guy, who buys the very same kit? I don't think so. What about your taste in bolt-ons, seats, exhausts? Just because you buy the kit doesn't mean every little thing has to be just so. That is the whole point isn't it? It's very easy in this way to build your own custom chopper from a chopper kit.
Another big question is, "How long"? The answer to that is as long as it takes. Even on the kit bikes, which are supposed to be designed to fit together like a glove, you are going to run into some snags. It can't be avoided!
If you want a more concrete guide, try this. An experienced kit builder (though not a professional) I spoke to reckons it took 10 full days to build his last chopper from a kit. For someone less experienced it could take a couple of days longer. Twelve 9 hour days works out at 108 hours. Over evenings and weekends, this could drag out to three or four weeks of living in a pile of motorcycle parts! So be prepared to literally live the experience if you are going to take the plunge.
What about the practical side? Well, there is no substitute for experience. The place to start building up your experience with the mechanical side of building to kit bike is with your current ride. Make sure all you can do the basic maintenance on your motorcycle, and then start to do some simple disassembling. Take off the tires, take off the exhaust, real basic stuff; all of this will help to build a new confidence in the shop side of things. You can also get some great videos on maintenance, and even on building the custom bike of your dreams. Read the books, watch the videos, and buy the t-shirt! Believe me, all the preparation you make will stand you in good stead.
If you really are hopeless at the mechanical side of things, why not pay someone else to help you build it, or even get them to build the whole thing for you? The cost of the kit plus labor could well work out cheaper than buying a chopper "off the shelf".
And of course, when that beautiful chopper is standing on your driveway, and your friends are asking you "Was it worth it?" you can turn to the chopper, drag your hand across the flames on the tank and the polished chrome, turn back to them and say, "What do you think?"

Your RV has what is referred to as a gray water holding tank and a black water holding tank. The gray water holding tank collects dirty water from the kitchen sink, bathroom sink and shower. The black water holding tank is for the toilet. These tanks terminate into one main outlet used to empty the holding tanks. This is where we connect our sewer hose.

Make sure you have the required couplings and connectors. It may be necessary to attach two hoses together to reach the sewer connection. I recommend you only use heavy duty sewer hoses. Their not that expensive and they hold up much better. Keep a 10 foot hose and a 20 foot hose available. Do not pull or drag the sewer hose on the ground. This will cause it to tear or get pin holes in it.

To hook up the sewer hose make sure both valves are closed and remove the sewer cap. Make the connection by putting the hose adapter over the outlet and turn it clockwise until it locks securely in place. Take the other end of the hose over to the campground sewer connection. Use the necessary adapters to make the connection and get a good seal. It's a good idea to place some weight over the hose so it doesn't jump back out when you drain the tanks. It may be necessary to use some type of sewer hose support to get a good angle from the RV to the campground sewer connection so the tanks drain properly when you empty them. The small valve is for the gray water tank and the large valve is for the black water tank.
One golden rule for RV holding tanks is to never dump the black water tank until it is at least two thirds full. You want the tank nearly full so the weight and the gravity will force the contents of the tank to drain properly. Another golden rule is to never leave the black tank valve open at the campground and expect the toilet to drain or flush like the toilet in your home. It won't work.
When the tanks are full, or nearly full always dump the black tank first, followed by the gray tank. The gray water tank should also be at least two thirds full. Dumping the gray water tank last will help to flush the sewer hose out.
When you're at the campground for an extended period of time you can leave the gray tank valve partially open so it drains as you use it, but remember to NEVER do this with the black tank. If it's time to leave the campground and your holding tanks are not full you can finish filling them with water and then dump them. Never use your drinking water hose for holding tank maintenance or cleaning purposes. RV drinking hoses are normally white. Take a different color hose for others uses so you can distinguish the difference.
After you dump the tanks you need to thoroughly flush the tanks out. Some RVs have a built in system for flushing the tanks out. If not there are other ways to do it. You can use a tank wand designed for cleaning and flushing the black tank. The only problem is you don't know when or if the black tank is really clean and you can't rinse or clean the gray tank with a wand. I use a product called the Flush King. It's a reverse flush valve that connects directly to your sewer outlet and rinses and cleans both holding tanks in one simple operation. It's easy to use and it has a see through barrel so you know when the tanks are really clean.
Every time you dump the black tank you need to treat it with holding tank chemicals to assist in controlling odors and to break down solids. You should always use environmentally safe chemicals. Enzyme based chemicals use the good bacteria to digest waste and control odors. Formaldehyde based chemicals destroy the bacteria that's needed to break down waste and they can be dangerous to humans and pets.
The first step is to add enough water to completely cover the bottom of the tank. Four or five toilet bowls full should be enough depending on the size of your black tank. Water will assist a great deal with controlling holding tank odors. You always want the contents of the tank to be covered by water. Next, fill the toilet bowl and add the proper amount of holding tank chemicals, usually four ounces for every forty gallons the tank holds. Flush the toilet. Repeat this procedure every time you empty the black water holding tank. Some holding tank chemicals like RV Trine also contains valve lubricants to keep the valves operating properly and extend the valve seals life.
You should always use toilet paper designed for use in RVs. This toilet paper breaks down and dissolves in the holding tank chemicals preventing potential problems with the holding tank, the RV sewer system and the dump station septic system.
False holding tank readings on your monitor panel are caused by the holding tank probes being covered by toilet tissue or other debris. If flushing the tank doesn't solve the problem add some water and a couple bags of ice cubes to the empty holding tank. Drive or pull the trailer so the ice cubes can scrub the sides of the tank. Proper holding tank chemicals will also keep the holding tank probes clean.
Over time grease and residue builds up in the gray tank and it causes a foul odor, not to mention how it is affecting the tank and valve assembly. Periodically treat the gray tank with environmentally safe holding tank chemicals to avoid odors from the tank. When the tank is empty you can also add some dish washing liquid down the drains to help break down grease and residue build up.
Following these simple holding tank tips can prevent problems and provide you with long lasting trouble free holding tanks. This is one problem we can all do without!
